Alison Krauss

The first surge of national fame came for bluegrass fiddler Alison Krauss in 1990 when at just 19 she emerged in the Grammy Awards with the trophy for Best Bluegrass Album. This was an incredible feat and not only because Krauss was young and also due to the fact that I've Got That Old Feeling was the 3rd album in her library. Too Late To Cry is her first album. It was released in Champaign Illinois in the year she was at the age of 16. In the year 14 she signed a deal for her debut album with Rounder Records - one of the most revered folk music labels. Her achievements even at a youthful age, as well as her virtuosity, have been consistently matched by the fact that she has been a loyal supporter of bluegrass, one of the country's oldest and most unappreciated musical genres. Krauss is now an adult, having grown from being a teenage pixie into an accomplished artist and producer. Alison Alison Alison
