Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, died on January 19 in 2008. She was an American film voice actress, voice actor and television host. Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and appeared in films during the late 1950s. In later years, she was a prominent actor in movies such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). She later appeared in various television shows, usually as a guest actor, and she played Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 until 1978. She received a number of Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was born on the 31st of January of 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1 and Eugene Pleshette. Her parents were Jewish who were descendants of immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was an artist and dancer who performed under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was stage director at the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, as well as the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
